I had the honor to attend the Balmain show at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, where Olivier Rousteing’s stunning collection came to life in an unforgettable setting. Rousteing presented Balmain’s highly anticipated Women’s Spring Summer25 collection—a striking reflection of the house’s rich heritage and its forward-looking vision. With the grandeur of the Théâtre National de Chaillot as the backdrop, Rousteing’s designs were a flawless tribute to the brand’s past while signaling a bold leap into the future.

This collection of eight gender-neutral eau de parfum honors both Pierre Balmain’s timeless Parisian heritage and Olivier Rousteing’s daring modern vision. After experiencing the collection firsthand at the first Balmain Beauty boutique in Paris, I’ve truly come to my senses—literally and figuratively. Among these captivating scents, I’ve found a new personal favorite: Rouge, an alluring fragrance that perfectly captures Balmain’s signature strength and elegance.

I’m always thrilled to cover such strong fashion presentations, and Lafayette 148’s Spring 2025 collection certainly delivered. Presented during NYFW at the newly completed 50 Ninth building in New York’s Meatpacking District, this showcase was a remarkable fusion of art and fashion.

This summer’s anthem of Beyonce’s pure honey had us singing, “It should cost a billion to look this good, but she make it look easy ’cause she got it.” It’s spot on what sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmerman have perfected as we watch their technique in ladies ready to wear. In August, Zimmerman became Australia’s first billion-dollar fashion label after a majority acquisition by private equity firm Advent International. Nicky and Simone founded their namesake label in 1991 and the sisters continue to run Zimmerman while they maintain a minority shareholder position. Their loyal following of their feminine dresses, swimwear and accessories can be seen in specialty stores, online luxury retailers and in one of their 58 standalone stores worldwide. Zimmerman chose Orlando’s Mall at Millenia as their newest location for their boutique.
